Find the People who love You for YOU
Wanna become the perfect partner? Spoiler alert - by being yourself, you’re already there! Here’s how you find the people who love you for you.

Be honest about what you like
Look, we’ve all done it - pretending to like a certain food, TV series, or film to try and impress a potential partner. We understand the temptation, but we’ve all got busy lives, and it’s just not worth your precious time!
Every person you go on a date with could be The One, and you don’t want to be eating anchovies or watching The Office forever! If you’re honest upfront, then the rest of the romance ride will be that much smoother.
Your quirks are your best features, so sell yourself! So, you’re into kitchen karaoke, or beekeeping, or building mini-sculptures out of cutlery? So what! That’s what makes you so damn interesting. You’ll be surprised how many others share your specific passions.
Trust us, with a world of singles out there to choose from, your special someone is out there.
Top Tip:Make sure you add your real interests to your profile so that singles with interests in common can find you!
The best version of you
Authenticity is attractive, and the joy you get from being yourself shines out of you like sunbeams. We know, it sounds cheesy, but it’s true!
Embrace yourself, and step away from anyone who dulls your rays.
Keep to your routine
Sometimes, romantic love can feel like the most important thing in the world. And sure, love is wonderful, but there’s so much other joy to be found in this life.
Even when in a new relationship, you should keep up hobbies that make you happy - carry on with that pottery class, continue writing your novel, don’t forget about Thursday’s yoga class. Maintain your other relationships too - go hiking with your friends, don’t skip board game night, say yes to after-work drinks. A good partner will understand that you’ve got your own life!
It’s okay to say no sometimes. Creating boundaries with your partner is healthy because you learn what’s most important to one another.
Remember your dreams
You have wonderful ambitions within you and you’re not defined by your romantic relationships. No matter how grandiose or frivolous your dreams might seem, your match should support you unquestioningly - they’re your biggest cheerleader! You’ll gain a much happier, healthier relationship if you stand up for what you believe in.
Practice self-love
When you fall madly in love, when that special someone fills your heart with joy, when they take your breath away… each time is better than the last, because you start believing more and more that you deserve it. You learn how to nurture that love. Fall in love with yourself first, and then the romance will come to you. We know, it sounds hella corny, but it’s true!
Here’s a few practical ways you can bring self-love into your daily life:
1. Get yourself a journal, and write down 1 thing every day that you’re proud of yourself for.
2. Make a playlist of songs that make you happiest. And dance!
3️. Take yourself out on a date: go to the cinema and get yourself a ma-hoooooosive bucket of popcorn, stroll down to your local cafe with a gripping book, go for a meal at your favourite restaurant. You deserve the treat!
4️. Try meditating - apps like Calm and Headspace have free trials that can help you learn how to create space for your mind.
5️. Join a local exercise class or group to meet some new people and get yourself in tune with your body. Local walking groups are a great place to start if the idea of starting a new sport is intimidating! Exercise releases endorphins, the chemicals that make you happy - and you did that. Bravo!
Take risks
Ultimately, romance is a game of chance, and you’ll never learn if you never leap. Have fun, that’s what it’s all about! We’re all doing this to find joy in our lives, and if you’re able to be authentic then it will come to you. You got this, folks!
